How to Fix a Posting Date Error in Business Central

Have you ever gotten this error when trying to Post something in Business Central?
The cause of this error can be one of two possible settings.
First, the posting dates in General Ledger Setup may be set to dates that are outside the Posting Date on the document you are trying to Post. To resolve this, navigate to General Ledger Setup and check the Allow Posting From and Allow Posting To dates.
If the Posting Date on your document falls within the Allow Posting From and Allow Posting To range then this is not your issue. This leads us to the second possible cause for the error. The user may have a specific posting range which will not allow them to post this document. To resolve this, navigate to User Setup. In User Setup each individual user has an Allow Posting From and Allow Posting To setup. The User setup overrides the General Ledger Setup if one exists. To resolve the error, ensure that the posting range on the user setup encompasses the Posting Date on the document you are trying you Post.
