How to Hide Fields on a Page in Business Central

How Do I Hide Fields I Don’t Need in Business Central?

When you don’t need certain fields in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, it is easy to hide them, following the steps outlined in this blog.

For this example, we are going to remove the “Assigned User ID” field from the Sales Order which is outlined in blue below:Man questioning how to hide a field in Business Central

  • Navigate to the page from which you want to hide fields, in this case, we have selected a Sales Order. On the Sales Order – select the blue dropdown arrow in the top left-hand corner of the screen.
  • Select the Customize button and then select “Customize This Page…”
  • From there you can select which portion of the page you would like to customize. In this example, we are customizing the General Fast Tab.
  • The fields in the right-hand column are the ones that are showing on the page. Navigate to the field you would like to remove and then select the Remove button.
  • The field will then appear in the left-hand column as an available field. Next, you can select OK and close the open windows.

    • The system will automatically close and reopen the page and the changes will be apparent.
